Zadar Airport - All Information on Zadar Airport (ZAD)

Zadar Airport (Croatian: Zračna Luka Zadar; IATA: ZAD, ICAO: LDZD) serves the city of Zadar, in Croatia. It is located in Zemunik Donji, approximately 8 kilometers from downtown.

As early as 1936, Zadar had regular commercial flights initially provided by Ala Littoria.

Over time, it has grown to become Croatia's 4th largest international airport handling more than 800,000 passengers annually.

It used to be one of a few airports in the world where the taxiway crossed a public road until it was closed down.

In 2020, an underpass was built on the site, and the access road was reopened.

Since 2013, Zadar Airport has become a Ryanair base station serving several European destinations, including Germany, Ireland, the UK, France, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

It is also a Croatian Air Force main training base. It used to be a base for Lufthansa's InterCockpit flight school.

Zadar Airport sits 88 meters above sea level at 44°06′30″N and 015°20′48″E.
